Golden State Bank 
Robert Setrakian currently serves as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Golden State Bancorp, the holding company of Golden State Bank, a full-service business bank headquartered in Los Angeles, California from 2014 until the present. Mr. Setrakian is also Executive Chairman of Golden State Bank. Before joining Golden State, Mr. Setrakian was an Advisor to the owner and a Board Member of Converse Bank in Armenia from 2009 until 2012.
Mr. Setrakian is the founder and Managing Director of The Helios Group, a New York-based private investment firm from 1993 until the present. Before forming The Helios Group, Mr. Setrakian served as the Chief Financial Officer of Sunbeam-Oster Company, a multinational, Fortune 500 consumer products company from 1990-1993. He was previously a partner at Japonica Partners, a proactive buy-out and investment company from 1989-1993.
Mr. Setrakian started his career in finance in the merchant banking group of First Interstate Bank from 1986 to 1989.
Mr. Setrakian received a BA in Economics and an MBA in Finance and International Business from the University of Southern California.
